Since 2011, the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) has designated the third Thursday of November as National Rural Health Day to celebrate the “Power of Rural.” This day highlights the efforts of rural healthcare providers, communities, organizations, and stakeholders, including State Offices of Rural Health (SORH), who are dedicated to meeting the unique healthcare needs of rural America.
